Two offices. Five openings. Strategy-led tax work for business owners with real money at stake.
Our longtime employees point to the same difference: we trust people to take ownership. You have clear expectations, support close by, and room to organize your own work. We measure success by the quality of the work, sound judgment, reliable follow-through, and the outcome for the client. You work directly with partners and the team coordinating the engagement. On site, hybrid, and fully remote vary by position and office. Ask about the role. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and people are expected to take real time off a few times a year.
If this is how you already work, you’ll feel at home here.
The return is the core of the year. Planning sits on top of a return that is accurate, filed on time, and explained in plain language.
Individual returns, business returns, and the related entities stay on one file, with a partner who knows the client.
When an attorney, a banker, or an advisor is involved, they get one picture. Most of the year, the work is still the client's tax and the follow-through.
Ownership: take responsibility, communicate early, and follow through. Resilience: stay constructive when the work is heavy, and help the team move. Growth: keep building judgment, in the work and outside it.
Prepare and review individual and business returns, then the planning that belongs on that file. Entity work and a sale are part of some engagements, not a separate practice.
Palm Desert and Irvine do the same kind of work: tax compliance and advice for owners, families, and real estate. The offices share files when a client needs both.
Each office takes on a limited number of new advisory relationships each year, typically about a dozen. You will help grow a year-round advisory practice.
Tax advisory and compliance are the core of the work. That means individual returns, business returns, estimates, and the filings that keep a closely held company current. Clients include current and former business owners, working and retired executives, families, real estate investors, and people who own more than one entity, in California and in other states. Their businesses include real estate, software, investment management, legal services, and other professional firms. Some files go further: a 1031 exchange, a company preparing to sell, or a client with accounts or property in another country. A lot of the year is still the return, done carefully, with a partner available.
Contractors and operating companies, often in the $5 million to $50 million range, plus the owner's return. The work is the business return, payroll-related filings, multistate items, and planning when an exit is actually on the table.
Rental and investment real estate. The annual return comes first, including depreciation. 1031 exchanges and cost segregation are part of the file when the facts support them.
U.S. citizens with foreign accounts, and foreign owners of U.S. property. The work is the U.S. return and the reporting that goes with it, including FIRPTA when a property is sold.
Medical, legal, and other professional practices. The practice return, the owners' individual returns, compensation, and succession when the owners are ready.
Owners of several entities. Each return, the items between entities, and the state filings stay coordinated. Planning comes after the compliance is clear.
Companies getting ready to grow or sell. Most years the work is the annual tax and the planning before a buyer appears. Some files include support on the sale itself.
Palm Desert. Start January 2027. Interviews begin after October 15, 2026. You manage individual and business tax engagements, including related entities and multistate work, from planning through the filed return. You review workpapers, explain the result to the client, and coach the preparers, with a partner on the file. Business owners, real estate investors, and their personal returns are the day-to-day. Ask this office whether the seat is on site, hybrid, or remote.

You coach preparers, give useful review notes, and keep priorities and deadlines coordinated with partners and the administrative team.
